The Stories We Keep

The Stories We Keep

For the moments we wish we had more time with

I also offer photography for families facing serious illness, end-of-life, and loss, including memorial photography for babies who are stillborn or the passing of our dearest pets.

This work is very close to my heart.

I have a deep respect for the experience of death and dying, and for the complicated ways that sorrow and joy can exist beside one another.

There can be tenderness in these moments.

There can be love.

There can be laughter, even in the middle of terrible sadness.

And there can be an enormous need to remember.

I approach this work quietly, respectfully, and without assumptions about what your experience of grief should look like.

Sometimes the photographs are of a person.

Sometimes they're of the people around them.

Sometimes they're of tiny hands, a familiar face, a wedding ring, a favourite blanket, or the way someone is being held.

Whatever is meaningful to you, that's what matters.
